“Lor Chula Ruk Chang”

1.Principle

 

                This Common Interested Voluntary activity is arranged for senior high school students. The students can participate in activity along their interest with the other students. With this activity the students can improve themselves in many ways; for example, their health, mind, feeling, participation, and intelligence including moral. They can learn that they are able to make many positive things for social. So that we the M.5/1 students of  Chulalongkorn University Demonstration Secondary School intend to arrange a useful activity. As everybody knows that elephants have been important for Thai culture since in the past. But there are many old and disabled elephants that no longer can  work and eat like the normal elephants. So we decided to do  something for them and arrange “ Lor Chula Ruk Chang ” project. In this project we will have an opportunity to learn about elephant’s life, how to take care of them, what they eat, how to feed them , and learn to be more munificent person. At the Elephant’s World has a veterinarian to teach and advise the students. He can give us the information about Thai elephants and we will have the positive thinking for protecting this animal in the future.

 

2.Purpose

 

                2.1 To participate in the suitable and interesting activity.

                2.2 To develop oneself about body(health), mind, feeling , participation, and wisdom.

                2.3 To develop oneself for having good behavior.

                2.4 To realize about doing good things for public.

                2.5 To develop the process of reading, thinking, analysis, and writing.

 

 

3.Target Groups

 

                3.1 Chulalongkorn University Demonstration Secondary School’s M.5/1 students

                3.2 Chulalongkorn University Demonstration Secondary School’s teachers who responsible for the project and teachers who are interested in.

                3.3 The students’ parents who are interested in.

                3.4 The outsiders

 

4.Method

 

                4.1 Lay out the project’s plans

 

                4.2 Deal the activities and present for approval.

 

                4.3 Proceed to activities along the plan.

                                Examples of activities

-         Elephants feeding

-         Bananas , banaglasses, and sugar canes Planting

(elephant’s food)

-         Elephants bathing

-         Fire camping and discuss about Thai elephant’s problems

-         elephants’ living area cleaning

-         elephants’ health overseeing

Start the trip 6.00
10.00-11.00: Arrive at the Elephant’s World and be welcomed by Dr .Samart  Prasitthiphon

11.00-12.00: Feed the elephants

12.00-13.00: Have lunch

13.00-15.00: Plant elephants’ food(banaglass)

15.00-15.45: Bath the elephants(clean the elephants)

15.45-18.00: Send the elephants to sleep and study around their place

18.00-19.00: Have dinner

19.00-21.00: Fire camping and discuss about Thai elephant’s problems

21.00: Take a rest

Friday 13th August 2010

8.00-9.00: Have breakfast

9.00-11.00: Clean the elephants’ living area and oversee the elephants’ health

11.00-12.00: Feed the elephants

12.00-13.00:Have lunch

13.00-15.00:Go back to Bangkok
